About This Site
This site is just a personal project where I'm documenting the games released by Sold Out Software, a UK based 'budget' publisher that I got into when I was a kid. A staff member at the home I lived in introduced me to them, and I've been collecting their games ever since.
I've put together a list of the titles I own, what I'm still looking for, and some general info about the company. It's nothing official, just a hobby that helps me unwind and a way to keep track of something I've enjoyed for a long time.
Why Sold Out Software?
Sold Out wasn't a massive name in gaming, but they did something cool. They sold older games at a relatively low price (£4.99 each or 3 for £10), and actually included useful extras such as patches, digital manuals, readme files, tips, and even troubleshooting guides. That stuff made a big difference back when not everyone had fast internet or powerful PCs.
They didn't just dump a game on a disc and call it a day. There was real effort put into making sure things worked, even if the games were a bit older. That kind of care stuck with me, and it's part of why I'm trying to preserve what I can here.
This site isn't trying to be a complete archive or anything, just my collection, what I've found, what's still missing, and the odd bit of history I've dug up. Hopefully, it helps others who remember these games, or maybe even someone trying to track one down.
